It’s hard to believe that this week marks Megan Gormley’s one-year anniversary with E.L. Sanders Insurance Agency.
On the one hand, it feels like just yesterday that she joined us. On the other, it feels like she’s been part of our team forever.
Megan is our Administrative Assistant and our go-to person for so many tasks around the office. She answers phones, she responds to emails, she processes payments. She does so many things that make life easier on all of us and keep the office running smoothly.
We’re so fortunate to have her as part of the E.L. Sanders family, and we’re looking forward to many more awesome years. Check out the Q&A to get to know Megan better.
What made you decide to join the E.L. Sanders team?
It provided me the opportunity to work with a reputable company that provides great service to its customers. I also decided to join the team because I thought it would be a great opportunity for personal growth.
What are your main duties as the Administrative Assistant?
My main duties as an administrative assistant are to work closely with the leadership of the company to provide support in the following areas: running reports, answering phone calls and directing them to the appropriate agent, processing payments, responding to emails, and delivering bonds to the proper recipients.
What has been your most memorable experience since you joined E.L. Sanders?
The most memorable experience was the Christmas party in 2022. My first day was November 1st of that year so the party came quickly, and it helped me get to know everyone in a relaxed setting. Larry put everyone’s name in a hat to raffle off a beautiful quilt made by the Nuns at the Mount Carmel Monastery – I won! I guess you can call that beginner’s luck?!
What makes E.L. Sanders a special place to work?
E.L. Sanders is a great place to work because they treat everyone like family, and it’s a positive work environment for employees and customers. I come from a retail background and had no previous experience in insurance, but E.L. Sanders has helped me to learn and grow in this field.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
My favorite things to do when I’m not at work include spending time with my family, friends, and dog, traveling and reading.
