Commercial Sales Executive (Producer)
Your Position Overview:
Your primary role as a Commercial Sales Executive – more commonly referred to as a producer – is to generate new clients and then maintain your clientele (your “book of business”). As a producer, you will offer risk management advice and sell insurance solutions from a broad portfolio of high-quality commercial property & casualty insurance carriers. You will become a trusted advisor, delivering risk management solutions custom-designed for your business clients to help them survive and thrive.
You will report to Larry Sanders, President, and Sara Payne, CFO. Experienced insurance producers will be actively involved as your mentors, a huge asset to learn the commercial insurance profession and to build your clientele.
Your Impact:
This opportunity is an expansion position to seize organic growth opportunities in the Southern Maryland, Fredericksburg, Virginia community and beyond. Supported by the entire ELS team in a culture dedicated to team selling, you will build your own commercial property & insurance clientele. As you succeed, you will also have the opportunity to be assigned existing clients. You will have the resources to provide your business clients a comprehensive range of important risk management and insurance solutions, including personal insurance.
Your Compensation & Benefits:
• Starting salary negotiable, plus earn new business commission. Your starting salary is negotiable depending on your skills, needs, and ability to validate. Validation means that you grow your book of business commission to equal 2.67 times (2.67) your starting base salary in 3 years or less.
• Uncapped commissions and residual commissions on annual client renewals enable you to build your book of business, leading to real, sustainable wealth.

Highlights of Your Successful First Year at ELS:
• Obtain your state Property & Casualty insurance license within 30 days of hire if you don’t currently hold.
• Learn ELS’s business insurance sales process and gain technical knowledge.
• Complete the one-year PaceSetter New Producer Development Program.
• Prospect to set 2-4+ qualified discovery appointments per week to develop and maintain your robust sales pipeline.
• Sell 12+ new clients to start your book of business.
